Delivery & Returns Information
Unfortunately there is no such thing as a free delivery. Where some companies offer free delivery, you are paying for it in the price of the goods. We believe in offering excellent value products and a delivery price which covers the cost of the delivery. We do not make profit on delivery charges. Our charges are based upon the weight of your order and your location. Should you not be based in the UK mainland, delivery surcharges will apply.
The majority of products on our site are available from stock. In the event that your order is not immediately available we will endeavour to contact you within 20 minutes of receiving your order. We will dispatch in stock items the same day, provided your order has been placed by 3pm
. (Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays). If received after this time you order will be dispatched the next working day.
We offer different methods of delivery to suit your requirements, all of which require a signature - for your peace of mind and ours:
Next Working Day
- Royal Mail Signed for - for small items up to 2kg in weight. 1st & 2nd class services available.
- DHL Parcels - for items up to 1.2m in length.
- Tufnells Parcel Express - for deliveries of items over 1.2m in length.
If you are not in a rush for your items, you can save money by selecting this method. Your order will arrive within 2-3 working days. This option is only available for orders up to 20kg in weight and to the UK mainland only.
Premium Timed Services
Items sent by DHL and Tufnells have the option of next working day before 10-30am or 12pm. If ordering on a Friday you also have the option to select a Saturday delivery should it be required.
DHL offer 1 hour delivery slots for their next day service. If your order has been sent with them you will receive an email with details as to how you can track your parcel and the time slot you have been allocated. You also have the option to re-arrange your delivery.
Tuffnells do not currently offer online tracking for deliveries, however we can track the delivery and contact the delivery depot on your behalf should there ever be an issue.
Damaged & Missing Goods
In the unfortunate event that your parcel is damaged or there is an item missing, please ensure the delivery is signed for as "damaged" or "incomplete". If this is not done, it is unlikely we will be able to make a claim to the delivery company for compensation.
In the event we split a delivery, for example where 1 item is out of stock, we will only ever charge once for delivery for the whole order.
Please note that whilst a particular delivery time or day is offered, the service is not guaranteed. The vast majority or Parcels are delivered on time, however should you order not be delivered when you expected it, please get in touch and we will endeavour to resolve the problem with the delivery company.
We are able to offer excellent value international delivery options to most countries in the world. If your location is not listed at checkout, please contact us for a delivery quotation.
Returns are accepted with 14 days of receipt, provided the item is returned in unopened, original condition. Refunds will only be issued once the item has been returned and received by us (At buyers cost & risk unless the item is faulty). If the item is simply no longer required or the incorrect item has been ordered, unfortunately we are unable to refund any delivery charges.
If the goods received are faulty, please contact us on 01636 610700 and we will issue a replacement, if a replacement is not available we will offer a refund.
